The Practice
Temple Smith Associates is licensed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants to provide accounting and taxation consultancy services in the U.K.
The Practice was started by Sarah Smith BSc (Hons) FCCA FCIE in 1994 and 16 years later has grown into a specialist business dedicated to looking after the needs of rural owner managed businesses, and the individuals that run them.
Key to our Practice is the Membership system, client area of this web site and regular personal contact by Sarah or one of the team to help with every aspect of running their business or tax affairs.
The Practice runs with a small professionally qualified staff assisting Sarah;
Susan Blake MAAT assisting clients with computerised book keeping, payroll and VAT.
Nick Lee ATT preparing tax returns and finalising Accounts.
Joan Dawson, Practice Manager, administers the Practice and provides a payroll bureau for clients who maintain their own book keeping but prefer to sub contract this aspect of compliance work.

In 2007 the Practice received 2 awards from the Association; the prestigious Quality Check Mark for technical and ethical excellence and Approved Employer Status for staff development.
The ACCA Quality Checked Mark is awarded only to firms that meet the Associations set standards of excellence. The firm’s quality control procedures are assessed by an ACCA Compliance officer. This covers all areas of the firms work and will be checked by the Officer by examining files and other records.
Firms must clearly identify their clients needs, re-assess services for contacting clients on a regular basis; maintain efficient paper-based records and electronic systems and keep partners' and staff skills up to date.
They must communicate effectively with statutory bodies, ACCA and other regulators and keep clients informed of opportunities or obligations of which they may have been unaware.
The ACCA Quality Checked Mark confirms that the Practice has achieved and maintained a standard of excellence that enables it to offer the best available service to clients.
